Macross

Macross is a Japanese science fiction mecha anime, manga, and video game franchise. The franchise includes four television series, four movies, six OVAs, one light novel, and eleven video games. It is a collaboration with Big West, with the majority of the franchise being created and developed by the late Shoji Kawamori. The franchise features transforming mecha, pop music, and epic space battles. The first series, 'The Super Dimension Fortress Macross,' aired in 1982 and has since spawned numerous sequels, prequels, and spin-offs.
