Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online (SAO) is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. It follows the story of Kazuto Kirigaya, also known as Kirito, who gets trapped in a virtual reality MMORPG called Sword Art Online. The game's creator, Akihiko Kayaba, announces that players can only log out by clearing all 100 floors of the game, or by dying in-game. SAO has been adapted into multiple anime series, manga, and light novels, exploring various virtual reality worlds and the relationships between its characters.
