Natsuki Subaru is the main protagonist of the series Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World. He is a high school student who is transported to a fantasy world. Subaru has short black hair and brown eyes. He is initially depicted as an ordinary person with no special abilities, but he later discovers his ability to 'Return by Death', which allows him to relive the same time period over and over again upon his death. This ability plays a crucial role in the series' plot as Subaru tries to save his friends and uncover the mysteries of the world.
