She is a homunculus created by the Einzbern family to serve as the vessel for the Holy Grail in the Third Holy Grail War. Illya has a childlike appearance and a gentle personality. She possesses magical abilities and is skilled in combat. Throughout the series, Illya plays a significant role in the story, particularly in the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya spin-off, where she becomes the main protagonist.
