Kagome Higurashi is the main female protagonist of the Inuyasha series. She is a high school girl who falls down a well and travels back in time to the Sengoku period. She is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyou and is the keeper of the Jewel of Four Souls. Kagome is kind, compassionate, and strong-willed. She is also the love interest of Inuyasha and plays a crucial role in the series' plot, helping Inuyasha and his friends in their quest to gather the shards of the Jewel and defeat the evil Naraku.
