Sarutobi Ayame, also known as Sa-chan, is a supporting character in the Gintama series. She is a kunoichi and the leader of the Oniwabanshu, a group of female ninjas. Ayame is depicted as a petite woman with short hair and a stern expression. She is known for her exceptional fighting skills and her ability to use her small size to her advantage. Despite her tough exterior, she has a softer side and is often shown to be quite sentimental. Ayame plays a significant role in several arcs of the series, particularly in the Oniwabanshu and the Shinsengumi Crisis arcs.
