Alphonse Elric is a fictional character in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. He is the younger brother of Edward Elric, the main protagonist. Alphonse lost his physical body during a failed attempt to bring back their mother through alchemy, and his soul was transmuted into a suit of armor. He is kind, gentle, and wise beyond his years, often acting as a voice of reason for his brother. Despite his lack of a physical body, Alphonse is incredibly resilient and resourceful, using his alchemy skills to aid his brother in their quest to restore their bodies.
