Roy Mustang

Roy Mustang is a fictional character in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. He is a Colonel in the Amestrian Military and is known as the 'Flame Alchemist' due to his ability to control fire. He is a close friend of the Elric brothers and helps them in their quest to restore their bodies. Roy has short, spiky black hair and is often seen smoking. His personality is laid-back and sarcastic, but he is deeply committed to his duties and friends. He plays a significant role in the series, particularly in the latter half, as he uncovers the conspiracy within the military and works to bring down the corrupt officials.
