Rogue, also known as Anna Marie, is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. She first appeared in Avengers Annual #10 in 1981. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Michael Golden, Rogue is a southern belle and a former member of the Brotherhood of Mutants. She has the ability to absorb the memories, powers, and life force of anyone she touches. This power also leaves her victims severely weakened and sometimes brain-dead. She later joined the X-Men and became a prominent character in the comic book series. She has been portrayed by Anna Paquin in the live-action X-Men film series.
